PAD Syndromes: A Comprehensive Look - A Multi-Faceted Common abd Potentially Lethal Issue
Time & Location
About the Event
Vascular Institute of Chattanooga hosts the 2nd Annual "FACES of PAD" to provide resources to physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other health care providers treating patients with vascular issues of the lower limbs and bringing awareness to the regional amputation problem. The southeastern part of the United States has the highest amputation rates in the country, many of these surgeries could be prevented with proper education and alternative treatment plans, resulting in patients having better health, a more active lifestyle and longer life.
Time is critical in getting patients to the specialists from diagnosis to treatment. The goal for this symposium is to help providers better identify, diagnose and understand management of the vascular patient, with the hope of preventing unnecessary amputations.
